CBD for allergies

Sadly, it is impossible for allergy sufferers to enjoy a lot of things, from specific foods to springtime. Although there is a great choice of traditional allergy medications, some people still find them ineffective or don’t trust them due to numerous side effects. Even more sadly, you can be allergic to allergy pills! There are many cases in which patients give up on conventional medicine and look for natural, safer remedy.

Today everyone is talking about useful substances found in hemp, such as cannabidiol (CBD) and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Their remarkable effect on the human body is that they normalize metabolism and maintain balance in the body. Unlike THC, CBD is totally legal, non-psychoactive and able to relieve allergy-related symptoms.

Allergic reactions occur when the immune system perceives certain substances as harmful. Allergies can be seasonal, acute and chronic. They most often manifest itself in runny nose, sneezing, coughing, watery eyes, and rashes.

How can CBD help to relieve these symptoms?

Antihistamine properties. CBD prevents your cells from releasing histamines, which eases the most prominent symptoms of allergy. It reduces mucus production as well.

Inflammation. As the body tries to remove allergens, it mobilizes the immune system to get rid of foreign substances. Allergens cause inflammation and swelling of the lining of your nose, the protective layer of your eyes, or your skin. As the result, you feel “stuffed up”, your eyes are watering, and your skin is red and itchy. CBD is a proven remedy for inflammation of various origins.

Skin allergic reactions. Rashes and eczema due to allergies are pretty common and cause a lot of discomfort. CBD topical products calm skin, ease itching, and reduce inflammation.

Chronic pain. Allergy-related symptoms can also cause chronic pain. CBD is known as a safe non-addictive option for pain management.

Sinusitis. As a common companion of allergies, sinusitis is manifested in nasal congestion, cough and difficulty breathing. CBD helps alleviate these symptoms by opening the airways and breaking up congestion.
